The 2nd All-Africa Games – Lagos 1973 were played from January 7, 1973, to January 18, 1973, in Lagos, Nigeria. After the success of the first African Games, the organizing bodies awarded the second games to Bamako, Mali to be held in 1969. A military coup disrupted the plans and the organizers moved the games to Lagos, Nigeria to be held in 1971. The games were postponed once again and finally opened in January 1973. A torch was lit in Brazzaville a week before the games and transported to Lagos as a symbol of the continuity of the games. Security again was very tight at the games.

Nicole M. Abusharif (born September 14, 1980) is an American woman, convicted of the 2007 Villa Park, Illinois murder of her domestic partner, Rebecca "Becky" Klein. After being found guilty of first-degree murder in May 2009, Abusharif was sentenced to 50 years in prison at the Dwight Correctional Center in Nevada Township, Illinois. Sana Tube, or Tube Sana in the Wolaitta language, was one of the kings of the Kingdom of Wolaita. He was from the Tigre dynasty. Kawo Sana was the 9th king from the Wolaita Tigre dynasty. During his reign, the pre-colonial Kingdom of Wolaita had fought with the nearby rival peoples and states of Hadiya, Arsi, Gujii, Sidama and Kembata, after he stabilized the kingdom and extended the frontiers to the present areas of Offa, Humbo, Boloso Sore and Damota. The king was highly concerned about the annexation of Wolaita territories by strangers and determined to fight against warriors.

He was an influence on other artists including Charles Fraser, William Dunlap and John Wesley Jarvis. Edward Greene Malbone was born at Newport, Rhode Island and began his career in Providence at the age of seventeen, later working in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Charleston and London.

The Mahdids (Arabic: بني مهدي, romanized: Banī Mahdī) were a dynasty in Yemen who briefly held power in the period between 1159 and 1174. == Conquest of the Tihama == Their name is derived from their first ruler Ali bin Mahdi who was born in Tihama. Ali bin Mahdi in his turn, traced his ancestry back to the ancient kings of Himyar. He was a religious and wide-travelled figure who performed the hajj every year and met scholars from all over the Muslim world. In 1136–1142 Ali bin Mahdi propagated his religious ideas in the Tihama lowland which at that time was ruled by the Najahids of Zabid.

Haato & co. (formerly Gelato di Crema) is a retailer of dessert based in Singapore, operating a chain of cafes, and run by the Dessert Empire Private Limited. A Haato cafe is run either by a franchisee or the corporation itself. Haato primarily sells gelato, yoghurt, sorbet, waffles, pastries, beverages and hot food. Malling is a village in Denmark, located about 12 km (7.5 mi) south of Aarhus. It has a population of 6,194 (Jan 1, 2020). == Geography == Malling is situated only 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) from the sea, surrounded by hills, swatches of farmland and patches of woodlands and meadows. The village is a railway town and the train station was one of the key elements in Malling's original growth from 1884 up until the 1970s. Malling has several green areas, with the space in front of the "SuperBrugsen" retailstore as the preferred place for general assemblies and recreation.
