The Habar Gidir (Somali: Habar Gidir, Arabic: هبر جدر) is a major subclan of the Hawiye. The clan has produced some prominent Somali figures, including the first Prime Minister of Somalia Abdullahi Issa Mohamud, and Somalia's fifth President Abdiqasim Salad Hassan. == Overview == The Habar Gidir are part of the Hiraab clans. The Hiraab consists of the Mudulood, Habar Gidir and Duduble. The Habar Gidir are also a sub-clan of the larger Hawiye and are one of the most important sub-clans amongst the Hawiye. This gives the Habar Gidir immediate lineal ties with the other Hawiye sub-clans.

Oeceoclades seychellarum is a terrestrial orchid species in the genus Oeceoclades that was endemic to the island of Mahé in the Seychelles but is now considered to be extinct. Its sepals and petals are yellowish-white, while the labellum is white with some streaks. This species is only represented by the type specimen, collected in May 1902 from the Cascade Estate on the island of Mahé at an elevation of 900 feet (270 m) in what was then a mountain forest. The location from which the type specimen was collected is now degraded by human activity and invasive plants.

Harvey Worthington Loomis (February 5, 1865, Brooklyn, New York – December 25, 1930, Boston, Massachusetts) was an American composer. He is remembered today for his associations with the Indianist movement and the Wa-Wan Press. == Biography == Loomis was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 5, 1865. He studied piano with Madeline Schiller. In his youth he won a scholarship of three years' study at the National Conservatory, where he studied with Antonín Dvořák, and quickly became a favored pupil of the Bohemian composer.

Villa Ballester is a city located in the northern Greater Buenos Aires urban area and it is part of the General San Martín Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is served by the Línea Mitre commuter railway with its station also named Villa Ballester. Founded on 26 October 1889. == History == Pedro Ballester (4 December 1849 – 5 September 1928) started the development of the town in the late 1880s in some fields occupied by his family, the chacra Miguel Ballester y Flotat. A key factor for the success of the new town was the train which provided fast access to Buenos Aires.

Milan Vidmar (22 June 1885 – 9 October 1962) was a Slovenian electrical engineer, chess player, chess theorist, and writer. He was among the top dozen chess players in the world from 1910 to 1930 and in 1950, was among the inaugural recipients of the title International Grandmaster from FIDE. The Falls–Gefrees railway was a German branch line spur in the Fichtel Mountains region of Upper Franconia in northern Bavaria. It ran through an area that is now within the jurisdiction of the town of Gefrees. == History == The railway line was built in 1901 under the direction of the Royal Bavarian State Railways and its official opening ceremony took place on 5 July 1902. Traffic on this state railway line was light; only one train shuttled back and forth. Until the 1950s trains were hauled by steam locomotives, then diesel traction took over.

William Ah Ket (麥錫祥, 20 June 1876 – 6 August 1936) was a noted Australian barrister. == Life == With paternal ancestry from Taishan, southern China, Ah Ket was Australia's first barrister of Asian heritage or ethnicity. He was born on 20 June 1876 at Wangaratta, Victoria, the only son and fifth child of Mah Ket and Hing Ung. He was an alumnus of the University of Melbourne. On 16 November 1912, he married Gertrude Victoria Bullock at the Kew Methodist Church. They had two sons (William and Stanley) and two daughters (Melaan and Toylaan).
