The 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 20th FIBA Basketball World Cup, the quadrennial international basketball championship contested by the men's national teams of FIBA. The tournament will be hosted in Qatar from 27 August to 12 September 2027. It will be the first FIBA Basketball World Cup to be held in the Arab world, and the third straight to be held in Asia after the 2019 tournament in China and the 2023 edition co-hosted by the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.

George Thomson (1757 – 1851) was a Scottish music publisher and a friend of Robert Burns. He was clerk to the board of trustees in Edinburgh for 60 years. His A Select Collection of Original Scottish Airs for the Voice came out in six volumes between 1793 and 1841, and included contributions from Burns, Lord Byron, Thomas Moore, Walter Scott and Thomas Campbell.

Stanley Charles Fuller (13 October 1907 – 3 January 1988) was a British sprinter. He competed in the men's 100 metres, 200 metres and 4x100 meters relay at the 10th 1932 Summer Olympics. held in Los Angeles. He was known as 'Flying Fuller' and was reputed to be the first Norfolk man to represent Great Britain in the modern Olympic Games. He sustained an injury when he fell down a stairway on the ship going to America for the 1932 Olympic Games and failed to show his true form in Los Angeles, eliminated in the heats of the 100 and in the second round of the 200.

7.5 cm Pak 39 (L/48) (7.5 cm Panzerjägerkanone 39) was a 7.5 cm German Second World War era anti-tank gun. The gun was used to equip Jagdpanzer IV/48 and Jagdpanzer 38 tank destroyers; no towed version of the weapon was made. The Pak 39 was an electrically fired weapon fitted with a semi-automatic breech mechanism and a 48 caliber long barrel. The gun was able to destroy the most common allied tanks at up to 1,000 meters. It used the same 75 x 495R ammunition as the 7.5 cm KwK 40 of Panzer IV and 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun fitted on the Sturmgeschütz assault guns.

Christopher Thomas Prior (born December 1990) is an English actor, known for his lead role as Sergey in the British-Estonian historical romantic drama Firebird.
