The John Wiard House is a historic house on Spielman Highway in Burlington, Connecticut. Probably built about 1754, it is a well-preserved example of period rural vernacular residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. == Description and history == The John Wiard House stands in a rural setting northwest of the village center of Burlington, on the northeast corner of Upson Road and Spielman Highway (Connecticut Route 4). It is set well back from the highway, which originally passed much closer to its front door.

Allagadda is a town in Nandyal district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Nandyal Revenue division. The town is located at 15°08′00″N 78°31′00″E. Allagadda is the headquarters of the Mandal and the Revenue Division. It has an extent of 62.30 km2. The town is 112 km from Kurnool and 40 km from Nandyal on National Highway 40, and 30 km from Ahobilam.

Braxton County is a county in the central part of the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 12,447. The county seat is Sutton. The county was formed in 1836 from parts of Lewis, Kanawha, and Nicholas counties and named for Carter Braxton, a Virginia statesman and signer of the Declaration of Independence. In 2010, the center of population of West Virginia was in northern Braxton County. Important salt works were located at Bulltown and here, in 1772, Captain Bull and his family and friendly Delaware Indians were massacred by frontiersmen.

Meng Ge (Chinese: 梦鸽; born 1966) is the stage name of Liu Qingdi (刘清娣), is a Chinese military singer. == Biography == Meng Ge was born in Shashi, Hubei province in 1966. At the age of eight, influenced by her mother, she performed her first stage show. She attended the China Conservatory of Music, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Arts College, and the Central Conservatory of Music.

William Henry "Wild Bill" Steers (April 13, 1897 – December 20, 1957) was an American college football player and coach and university professor. He served as the head football coach at California University of Pennsylvania in California, Pennsylvania from 1929 to 1940, compiling a record of 37–40–9. A native of The Dalles, Oregon, Steers played football at the University of Oregon, where he was a member of the 1919 Oregon Webfoots football team, which shared the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) title and played in the 1920 Rose Bowl.

The Battle of Hatteras Inlet Batteries (August 28–29, 1861) was the first combined operation of the Union Army and Navy in the American Civil War, resulting in Union domination of the strategically important North Carolina Sounds. Two forts on the Outer Banks, Fort Clark and Fort Hatteras, had been built by the Confederates to protect their commerce-raiding activity. These were lightly defended, however, and their artillery could not engage the bombarding fleet under Flag Officer Silas H.
